Lumba Rakhi

A “lumba rakhi” is a special type of rakhi that is traditionally tied on the wrist of a sister-in-law during the Hindu festival of Raksha Bandhan. Raksha Bandhan is a celebration of the bond between brothers and sisters, and the rakhi is a symbol of the sister’s love and protection for her brother. In the case of a lumba rakhi, it is specifically meant for the sister-in-law, or “bhabhi” in Hindi.
